I made two quilts for Christmas gifts ...





If you look close at the second one you can see how the iron on backing on the brown circles peeled up when I washed it.  Any ideas what I did wrong?  On the package for the iron on stuff it said that it was machine washable.  It also said I didn't need to sew around the edges....I guess I should have though.

They are very pretty!

I'm not sure you did anything wrong re the iron-on stuff - I have found that no matter what I do with that stuff, it doesn't last through washes.  Sewing over it is always a good idea.  Can you still sew the circles on?  They look so nice on the quilt!

I would definitely sew the circles down.  Just do a blanket stitch around them.
