Well I had a baby in August, and I have been saving all of his formula containers as he empties them, for "some reason". That reason came to me just in time for the holidays, handy gift-wrapping containers!

All I did was wrap the can (which I had previously cleaned out) with leftover wrapping paper and filled it with Christmas goodies. In this case, a crocheted scarf, a calendar, and chocolates. You can put pretty much anything in them, cookies, trinkets, etc. I was going to modpodge it with Christmassy images but I had enough leftover wrapping paper to go all the way around it, so I thought "why not?"

For this one I actually used a Parent's Choice brand container, and the Isomil cover, because the cover matched the wrapping paper Smiley

Here it is filled to the brim with gifts, big and small, all wrapped in red tissue paper:

And voila! It took me literally 2 minutes to piece all of this together, and fit the scarf perfectly. I made one to give my sister some movies, and my grandmother some books as well.

Wow! What a ideal. I am always amazed when people think outside the box.  Never in a million years would I have thought about using the can for a gift container.  Now if only I can find a new mother out there who will save the cans for me....

you could also use a coffe tin with lid, those come in loads of different sizes as well.  at least small and large.  Cheesy
