I finally came up with a use for old phonebooks!  Wrapping Paper and bows!  Here I wrapped a cd in the phonebook paper (the white pages section with all the phone numbers of people).  Then I made a bow (from the coupon section because it was colorful) using a slightly altered version of a folded paper pinwheel.  Then I went through my felt scraps and found some scraps to add to the bow for a different texture and a pop of color.  My mom (the receiver of this fabulously wrapped gift) LOVED the idea!  What an awesome way to recycle!  Go me!  Yeah!   Grin

Fun! And a great re-use!

Hey, why not! We get so many phone books a year, it's like a constant source of wrapping paper.  Cheesy Good idea. I think the bow really makes it.

Very nice.  I like it a lot- classy!

Awesome!  I suggested a challenge for using phone books and this was just the type of thing I was thinking of!

When looking at the entries for this challenge, I was looking for ideas that I could easily replicate. This is the one for me!

Thrifty- free phone books (I get at least 2 delivered a year from different places).

Stylish- the amazing bow from the colored section and the addition of the colored felt really looks sharp against the black and white of the wrapping.

I also love how it isn't holiday specific!

Now, if I can figure out a decent way to connect pages together to make large sheets, I can use it for even more gifts! Or, I'll just have to give small-sized gifts Wink

The choices you make today determine the choices you will have tomorrow.
