I have been making these like crazy lately, I am doing the Indie Sacramento
show on Saturday, so I will see how they sell.  I just love them because they are so colorful and interesting, definitely a conversation piece when someone notices they are made from a zipper!
Some little girl headbands made from plastic zippers

An array of Brooches, some plastic, some metal and some two tone:

Look how cute they look on a sweater:

I prefer stitching them, I feel like I can sculpt them better, but you can also use a low temp glue gun(just be careful of the glue showing)
Let me know what you think Grin

Those are so neat!  Have you considered stitching them on to ribbon to make chokers?

Good luck at your show!  These are sure to be hit.

Very original...I have never seen flowers made out of zippers before.  It gives the "flowers" a unique texture and on the pink zipper broach, it looks bejeweled on the edges.

The zipper on my daughter's pajamas just broke, I salvaged it, but wasn't sure what I was going to use it for.  Now I know, thanks!

they're brilliant! so bright, and clean colours! Do you mind if I try to make some? just one question, what happens to the end of the zip with the pull bit attached? where does it go?

Of course, I actually got the idea from a segment of from http://www.bettyeinc.com she did a segment on Martha and there are instructions on this link http://www.marthastewart.com/article/zipper-flower-pins?autonomy_kw=zipper%20roses&rsc=header_1  at the MS website.  I actually opted to stitch mine I found it easier to sculpt them that way, but you can use a glue gun as well.

Have fun, they are a real converstion starter!!
