I am a long time browser of Craftster , but this is my first post.
I came up with this wrapping inspired by the Giant Microbes by Drew Oliver at Giantmicrobes.com (they are also available at Thinkgeek.com and Air Traffic Stores in Minnesota). The person I'm giving it to has a very odd sense of humor so I decided to give him the Flesh Eating Disease and the Black Death. There are lots of other cute disease and nondisease related Giant Microbes. I got the Common Cold for myself. (Pic no posted sorry. Visit the website for a look.)
The deadly cute Diseases

Deadly diseases need safe transportation. I used a box that I got on clearance at a craft store (you could use a small Styrofoam cooler for a more authentic look instead) and a couple of things that you can find at your local store. I also printed out the biohazard symbol to use as a template.
Materials for Transportation Unit

First I made a triangle with the white duct tape and colored it in with the yellow Sharpie. Let that dry, then outlined it in black and used the symbol I cut out as a stencil filling it in with the black Sharpie. And I put the smaller symbol on the sides. You have to make sure to warn people about the diseases in there. Cheesy Put the box together and eureka one deadly and cute disease transportation unit!
Here's the finished project:
Getting ready to go to their new victim...I mean Home!

Snuggled in and ready for transport.

The bubble wrap is supposed to look like ice (well it's supposed to but doesn't Sad ) Oh well.
Carrier Sealed and ready to go.
My friend really liked his gift, and I hope you guys like my first post. If you have any questions just let me know. Thanks and Happy New Year!

Too freaking adorable.  I think the bubble wrap looks just like ice in that picture.  Smiley

That is amazing! What a cute idea. I went that website and looked at all the stuffed things they had. very interesting -to say the least!

This is really great!  Excellent way to present a fun gift... speaking of giant microbes, I've got "Booker T." the book worm on the bookshelf, and Easy E. Coli in my closet at work.
