Hi my fellow crafters and happy new year!  I was super excited about this challenge when it was posted...I have been collecting coke tabs for like a year and finally have an outlet!  ----yes yes I'm from the south----  I made a jewelry box out of coke tabs!  It took a bit if working to make it stable.  First I tried yarn and it was way to flimsy so then I got out my trusty tool kit and used wire and pliers to kind of weave the wires in between the tab holes!  I'm so excited it totally worked!  So without further ado I present my coke tab jewelry box!

and i forgot to mention its totally 100% recyclable!

Here is the box all tied up with a bow

another picture

the inside with a Christmas treat!  i used left over yarn as the cushion

and another picture with everything out so you can see the sides and the bottom

Thanks for looking and don't forget to vote!  Grin

Very original - have seen a lot of things make out of pop tabs, but never a gift box.  It is cute.

I'm loving this!  Think you can post a tute on how you pulled them all together - and the hinge?  I think this would be a great craft project for girl scouts...

This is a great idea!  My brother was in the military and brought home a friend from Iowa.  We asked him what kind of coke he wanted and confused the crap out of him!  He also says that whatever you say about someone/thing you can always make it better by saying "Bless their heart".  Gotta love that southern talk!!!   Grin
