The New Year is here and, love 'em or hate 'em, we've all got some got some New Years Resolutions, right?! Your challenge this month is to craft something that helps you with any of your New Years Resolutions.

• How about a beautifully decorated inbox and outbox system to help keep on top of the endless paperwork in life?
• Is your resolution to do more crafting? Make or decorate a calendar with your crafting goals that you want to achieve!
• Trying to stop smoking? Maybe a handmade punching bag?!

Even if you're not a "resolution kinda person," whatever it is you want to try to do better or differently in 2009, craft or construct or embellish something to help reach that goal!

Note that this this challenge is meant to be something you make that helps you achieve any resolution or anything you want to do better at in 2008. So if one of your resolutions is to make a certain craft project in 2008 -- like to knit a sweater -- that in and of itself doesn't fit the theme. But as an example perhaps instead you could create a calendar that helps you accomplish that sweater and can be used for other projects you want to have stay on track!

Rules:

• Post your craft during the period of Feb 1 - Feb 5 2009. No sooner. No later. On Feb 1 there will be a special folder created for entries.
• Voting will happen from Feb 6 - Feb 12 2009.
• Each participant can enter ONE project. (Although your entry can have multiple components to it.)

Originality:

It's probably impossible to know whether your project is 100% original and has never been posted on Craftster or made by anyone else in the past.  But if your project was definitely inspired by something you've seen before, then just give credit to that project.

Prizes:

At the end, I'll set up a poll right here and the first place winner will get...

(1) their project in the Featured Projects area
(2) their project in the Craftster Blog

And this prize (winner can receive prize in U.S. or non-U.S.):

Any one item from one of Craftster's online shops!

There were some AWESOME entries last year!  I can't wait to see what people make this year!

My resolution is to get some more sleep with a two-month old in the house.  Now if I can only figure out how to craft a nanny, I would be all set!

If you ever figure it out, Let me know, I could use a crafted nanny too!  and perhaps a crafted maid....

I'd love to see what people think of for this!  My resolution doesn't really lend itself to my sort of crafting, unfortunately.

However, I wanted to point out that it seems this challenge is due last year!  Most of the dates given in this entry are 2008 instead of 2009.  Just though you might want to fix that.

You can make resolutions for any time of year, though.  Make a new month resolution!
