Wow it's been awhile since I've updated my list! I took somethings out and added new ones in and technically I'm already done with the 50 because I make multiples of the same thing... But here's the list!

33. Insanely long Doctor Who Fourth Doctor scarf


This scarf is like 15 feet long. It's insane. And I am not six feet tall, either. I would add tassels, like the Fourth Doctor's scarf has, but that would make it even longer and it's already a little unmanageable.

I'm quite proud of this bag. I designed the fabric by making a collage of manga pages (it's Fullmetal Alchemist, because I love Hawkeye's dog, Hayate, and wanted a bag with him all over), I treated some white twill with bubble jet set and printed the collages onto the fabric with my printer, and then I used coffee to dye the fabric to that sort of antique-y brown color. And I just threw together a pattern for a mini messenger bag (with magnetic closures that I am unreasonably excited about). I did learn a few things while I was doing it though, most important of which was that I should do the coffee dye before I treat the fabric for printing because it turned out a little darker than I wanted because, even though the solution was washed out the fabric was still sucking in color. Also, for the two pieces of the bag that weren't treated, I had a hell of a time getting them to match the rest. Still, I really love this bag.

36. Orchid jordy bag for friend's birthday

I used printable fabric for the orchid. The picture is a bit washed out, but the color of the flower is a lot richer than that in real life. I used the jordy tutorial over on the purses board, but a put a little snap button snap closure over the top and a zipper pocket on the inside as well.

37. Orchid wallet for friend's birthday

Lying flat so you can see one of the sets of card holders and the orchid on the outside. It also has a vinyl pocket on the inside for drivers license or whatever. I used the wallet tutorial over on the bags and purses etc board, though the vinyl pocket (and applique) were my own additions.

What is a bubble jet set ? (we have big printers at school, maybe I could print there... although I would have to explain a lot if the fabric would get stuck in the machine...)

Bubble jet set is this solution (I got mine from http://www.dharmatrading.com/) that you treat the fabric with before you print. Basically you soak it and let it air dry. Then you can iron the fabric onto a piece of freezer paper and run it through the printer. It works with any fabric that is 100% cotton. It is AMAZING. I love it because it allows me to design my own fabric for way less than it costs to buy it through spoonflower, though I can only make it in 8.5 X 11 pieces.

Project #36 - Emelyn's Baby Peapod Sweater

The sweetest little baby sweater that I've been wanting to make for a couple years, made for the sweetest little newborn. Even finished in time to give during our visit to the hospital.

Project #37 - Santa/Father Christmas Sequin Ornaments

I created 11 of these sequined (half with red hats, half with gold) Santa heads for an ornament swap I'm participating in. My fingers still have not recovered from pushing all those pins - probably close to 6000 in all, yikes!

Project #38 - Bubble Yum Button Tab Hat

This was intended to be for my sister to give to her friend's 7 year old daughter, but the pattern had no gauge information and it ended up being way big. Luckily I have a big head, so it looks all right on me. Not my first choice of color, but should look good with the yarn I go to make a winter scarf.

Project #39 - The Brock Boy Hat

This hat amazes me, it looks so tiny when flat, but stretches so much.

Project #40 - Bubble Yum Button Tab Hat Junior

A redo of the above version. This time smaller and more 7 year old appropriate. The great thing: I finished it in less than 2 days.
