That one I had been working on for such a long time, I'd prep a few walls then it would fall by the wayside again. I finally powered through it this weekend to distract myself because the boy has gone back to college early.

This one had been going for a while too - I cut out and ironed the paper months ago then lost my blue paint - I just found it while cleaning my room to paint it!

I love the squidy guy   I have been feverishly finishing up some swaps, there is soon an end in sight though and likely a short swapping break as we are getting into the holiday season, and many of the swaps that come up are holiday themed of some sort...and that's not really my bag.

Thanks TSM! I'm also getting towards the point where I'll take a break from swaps, mostly because school is starting up again. But I'll hopefully find time for some smaller ones though!

#31 is a recon; my mom gave me this odd button up dress to do something with and it's now one of my favorite pieces! I have a feeling it's going to be a fall staple for me.

OK....so....I know I personally promised myself I would not include swap items in this list anymore, but....several of the swap items I WANTED to keep for me REALLY bad, so I think they count close enough, OK?  OK    Also, several of the swap items made recently are actually FIRSTS for me, and were actually stolen from my 50 projects to do list!  You'll see...read on below!



OK, so this is not actually one of the current items on my list of 50, but it's going to be!  I LOVELOVELOVE this wall hanging!!!!!  My swap partner loved it just as much!  My wife SOOOOO did not want me to send this, and in the end I didn't want me to send it either....so I am going to make us one for the house...maybe in rainbow colors on the tree tops though


Applique totebag.  The other side says Thing 2 of course!  It's lined with a Dr Seuss cat in the hat material reconned from a bed sheet I got off eBay.  My swap partner LOVED this too (same person that got the wall hanging above, too, this was in the Giant Multi-Theme swap)



Strip skirt..appliqued as well!  I am SOOOOO in love with doing applique lately   It becomes a part of just about every swap package.  I'm so glad this skirt came out so well, as this was DEFINITELY one of the items on my 50 projects list and I am thrilled to be able to make this by making up my own pattern and can alter to fit me or anyone else easily!  So...hopefully there will be one for me showing up in here soon!



I'm in the sea life swap right now, and had SOOOO much inspiration spilling out of my head for stuff that I made myself ANOTHER sea life necklace.  I love the blues in the ones I posted before, but I REALLY love the color of these beads, makes them look like sand.
