April Gallery of Completed Projects

An old friend for high school asked if I could knit up this hip little cap for her newborn son, as I was on a hat kick, I of course said yes. It took a couple restarts to get the right size, but I've learned a valuable lessonyes, it is important to keep on swatching until I'm sure I've got gauge. I have taken it to heart even if it means re-knitting a darn gauge swatch 3 times!

I had two days off before Easter so I went on a crafting binge. With such high hopes it was kinda disappointing that this was the only thing that was completed, but I have a valid excuse, my other big project busted my machine! My nephew did get this cute easter basket though, and I filled it with crafty goodies so at least he could be occupied a bit without tv.

A knit birthday cup hat that is a giveaway currently on my blog to celebrate my blogiversary and birthday! Stop on by for a chance to win (click the project # above), I'd love to have you!

Overall, it was a pretty slow month results-wise. I started the first weekend of May off with a bang, so hopefully this month will make up for the slow progress in April. I'm really thinking I might actually make it to 50 projects this year!

I'm adding in these here, but I'm calling them all one project.

Unless, of course, I run out of year before I reach the 50, in which case, they'll be five distinct projects Wink

These are the earrings I sent out for the Earring Swap.

Apologies for size. Let's just say I WANT you to look at them!!

dawnofdolls, I use a Nikon D40 on manual settings. It's amazing how much better a picture can look when you are able to take it in natural light.

Wow, NICE.  Well, they look fantastic.  Those single-lens reflex cameras take super clear shots.  I'd be a photographing maniac!  lol  Again, good job on the hat - it's super cute on the little guy.   Wink
