I'm definitely in!  I can do one or more a week.  YES!

I'm not a list maker but I keep a journal of my projects as completed so  it will be easy to see how I'm progressing.

I also have as my goal this year to not add to my stash.  hahaha!  Only supplies like glue or thread to complete a project.  My first test was yesterday.  I went to Jo Anns and left an hour later without buying anything. YEAH!

I've just finished my second project for the year! I've got a few more half done as well, so I'm feeling good about getting somewhere close to the 50 for the year.

reves, an hour in JoAnns and nothing when you left?  You are my hero.  Every time I drive by (which is of course, any time I go to or leave my apartment), I say to myself, "You are stronger than the store."

I wish I were kidding.   Wink

It looks as if everyone is being really productive. I'd say it makes me feel lazy, but I already felt like that before I started looking here!

Nofury, I love your calorimetry and gloves set. Possibly my favorite color and the design around the glove wrists is really nice. I also like your other stuff, esp the bamboo handled bag. You seem to have made your own handles. Did you have to varnish the bamboo or anything like that?

I did make my own handles. I just cut them and sanded the ends a bit. Very un-exciting. Smiley

Green is my favorite color. It's a wool mix and on CLEARANCE!!!

Hooray!  Everyone has been so productive!  Here are my numbers three, four, and five!

#3 is a blueberry pound cake from The Moosewood Cookbook.  I'm not a huge baker, and this was my first non-cooking baking experience.  I used whole wheat flower, which is why I think it took ages longer than the recipe called for, but it sure was tasty.  (Pain to get out of that pan, though. Yikes.)

#4 is my refinished coffee table.  The original stain was peeling up and looked terrible.  So I hand sanded it (hi, that takes forever) and then finally restained it.  You can see with the new stain that the grain shows through a lot more, which I lurve.

#5 is this cable bag that I started forever ago.  This was my first attempt at cables.  The pattern was a free one from Jo Ann's, but I just didn't like how much yarn it was asking me to use.  So mid-project I decided to go with a different bag style.  I lined it with a plaid fabric that I got on sale.  I so love it.  Woot.

Next up - fabulous Lucite earrings!
