Me too!!  I was stoked when I found the sushi fabric, and even more thrilled when I found that Asian characters fabric and KNEW I wanted to make a takeout bag for our sushi outings.  I hope one will be coming up soon so I can use it Smiley

I ended up making three Halloween costumes this year: one for me, one for my sister, and a last minute one for my sister's friend. I was a gameboy.

49. Gameboy Costume

My sister wanted to be Alice in Wonderland but she couldn't find one to buy that wasn't, shall we say, too revealing (which is refreshing to hear from a 17 year old girl). So I was recruited to make one for her. I'm pretty proud of it because she asked me less than a week before Halloween and I drafted the whole pattern myself and constructed it in a matter of days.

50. Alice in Wonderland Costume

And, at around 4pm on the day of Halloween my sister's friend was lamenting that she had no costume, she and my sister came up with the brilliant plan of going as a pregnant woman and decided that, since a pillow would just "look stupid," I was to be roped into making a pregnant belly for her to wear. It's not terribly sophisticated, but I had under an hour to construct it and I am weirdly proud of it as well.

51. Pregnant Costume

That's my fifty, I guess. Maybe I'll go back and take out all the swap stuff and see if I can make it to fifty again with those removed.

Being the slow crafter that I am, it's WAY too late for me to join this.  Will there be another craftalong for 2010?  I made a list of things for myself to do, but it would be so much easier if I had the encouragement/procrastination shame that a thread like this would give me!

Ooookay, so removing all the crafts I did for swaps this year, I have a frighteningly short list. BUT, pretty much all of my friends and family have birthdays in the next two months, so I still may be able to reach 50 without swap stuff. Anyway, my amended list (with all swap crafts extracted) is as follows.

1. Tardis pillow (finished jan 5)
2. Siamese cat pillow (finished jan 7)
3. Cthulhu scarf (finished . . . early jan sometime)
4. Tenth Doctor Doll (late Jan)
5. L doll (late Jan, too, I think)
6. Ganesh doll (mid March)
7. Om wallet (mid March) (for OTT 21)
8. Ninth Doctor Doll
9. my first poppet, Tate
10. Jacket for a friend
11. Poppet #2 Tigan
12. Applique messenger bag
13. Pajama Shorts (with rockets and atoms on!)
14. Little ribbon tote for Mom
15. Fresh Baked Hearth Bread for Grandfather's 80th Birthday
16. Sundress for sister's friend
17. Black linen capri pants
18. Ensign Tamaki doll
19. Painted T-shirts
20. Gameboy Costume
21. Alice in Wonderland Costume
22. Preggers Costume

23. Wrap pants

Yee gods, that's less than half! Okay, new stuff.

24. Decoupage mirror box for little sister's birthday (not totally happy with it, so I may make a few adjustments before I post a picture.
25. Snuggie (with hood!) for little sister's birthday (will take picture after I give it to her Smiley )
26. (Doctor Who)Mini Master doll for RevolutionaryGirl

The fur fabric was a little bit long to be Simm!Master's hair so he looks a little more like Amadeus than Saxon, but I was still pretty amused by him and RevGirl liked him so that's what matters.

I'm almost finished with my Link Poppet and I have to make a little bag for my mother and finish a fleece blanket for my sister's birthday this week. And I'm starting to panic about the Holiday!!Crafting I need to do. So yeah. I should probably get back to work Smiley
