klum, I have that same brown print fabric on your Weekender Smiley  I also have a coordinating print from the same style.  I wish I had the weekender pattern, I REALLY love that bag and could really use it for the little trips we make a lot!

Yeah, I have a coordinating one that I was going to use on the inside but changed my mind.  It was not a good fabric to use on the Weekender.  It has some stretch in it and it's not home dec weight like the pattern called for.  I had to cut out another set of the pattern in a medium weight interfacing to make it heavier and to stop some of the stretching.  A lot of extra work and it still stretched when sewing it.  What a pain!  But it did turn out gorgeous and my friend loved it.  So it was worth it in the end.
I got my pattern online from etsy I think.  If you buy it, get the updated version, it fixes the interfacing issues with the original pattern.  I kept having to go back and forth between the pattern and the corrections I printed off the internet.
I do love my bag and have used it a few times.  It has held up well.

Thanks for the tips on the fabric!  I didn't actually notice if that brown floral had stretch to it when I bought it, I just knew I liked the print Smiley

There is an updated Weekender pattern??  I have only seen them for sale on ebay, have not checked etsy yet...and they all show the same photograph on the pattern front, so I have no idea if those ones that are being sold are the 'updated' ones or not??  Any way to tell?

AH, OK then Smiley  The ones I am seeing on eBay have been the older style then...as I have not seen that photo on any before.  I will need to track down that new one for sure...I don't want any issues when I finally get around to attempting to make it!
