I finally made my little guy an outfit. Thank you snazzlecraft for the applique you posted http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=284248.0. I changed mine a little. I enlarged it and made it one solid piece. I only wish I placed it a little higher on the shirt, because you can't see it very well when he wears the pants. The shirt I used was 12m. I think the one she posted is meant for a smaller shirt. The pants are a light black denim and are lined with black, blue, gray, and white striped flannel for warmth and comfiness. They are big, but I wanted him to get some use from them. He is in 6/9m and the pants are around 12/18m. The guitar will fray a little after a wash or two. He seems to like it. He drooled nicely on it. Wink

Thanks everyone. I really like the pants too. I don't like to put jeans on my babies when there this small. The material is just too rough and stiff on there little bodies. So the flanell lining was a must. He wore a pair of khaki pants on Christmas. The poor kid could hardly sit up. I took them off as soon as possible.  Also it's sooo cold in NY this time of year.

oh, very nice!  reminds me how my boy is hideously bereft of mama made... bad me  Sad

the fold up on the pants is particularly striking - perhaps I should remedy my own situation with something similar?

Ugh I LOVE it!  I think you did amazing!  The outfit is too cute.  Great job.

**And, yes, the original applique design was done on a newborn size onesie.   Wink
