I went out and bought a few of the pens, and about 10 mugs from salvation army (for only $1.98!) to try this on... and so far they've come out pretty well! Thanks for posting the names of the pens and stuff... it's been nice seeing what you've done with them and using your suggestions to make a few of my own!

Normally, I have a favorite when someone posts multiple items.... but I love all of these. I had never even heard of the pens. Now I must go look.

Amazinggg. Really, coolest thing I've seen all day ^^

"and then purchased one of those ceramic pens that you draw with and then bake it in your oven to make it dishwasher safe."

"Please keep in mind that these mugs are hand washable only. Sticking them in the dishwasher will destroy them."

In the second quote, are you saying that the mugs are hand washable only because the ones you purchaced are hand washable only? Otherwise I'm reallyy confused  Huh

By dishwasher safe I mean that they can be washed with dish soap and water and no harm will come to them. But they must be washed by hand. The company claims that these pens are safe to stick in the dishwasher but after I did that with one of the other mugs I made a chunk of the paint came off and I think most other people have had similar results. It's a little risky to stick them in the dishwasher. Most ceramic painters (by this I mean people who take already glazed ceramics and use this paint over them) suggest hand washing only to preserve the paint and I must agree.
