More fabulous squares! I'm impressed with the quantities that you guys are pumping out, as well! I'm lucky if I can get the original one a month finished Wink

I'm working my way through the February square- it's a bit tricky in the beginning, but I think we'll all be able to help each other get through it...

So, I went and picked out yarn for an afghan for my sister-in-law. This will probably flip-flop back-and-forth but at this moment I'm liking hers more than the one I'm making for myself.  Undecided Still, I'll have to give it to her since her bedroom is blue and green Bollywood and the the accent color of purple is there because she likes how it goes with green:

I'm using Dudessembly:

http://thecrochetdudepatterns.blogspot.com/2006/04/dudessembly.html

I like blankets that are joined together with slip stich, single crochet or whip stich but for some reason I can never make the corners of blocks get nice and solid so there's no holes between the blocks.

So, instead, I'm going for the complete opposite effect.

Oh! It looks different than I expected (Dudessembly, I mean). One of these days, I'll get enough squares finished to attempt the assembly process... I have 5 more squares to go from the '08 CAL. I finally finished July, but I still have to weave in the ends. I'll move on to August soon. I'd like to finish it up and give it to my neighbor while it is still cold enough for her to use it!

Don't despair. As of Christmas, I had only gotten through August myself. I powered through my last 8 squares and then all the assembly in under two weeks. Once you start doing the joining it goes super fast.
