I saw this project in Craftster last summer and I was really fascinated by it ( I tried to find the link but without any results)

It is one of the longest projects I've done, it took me three months I think and a LOT of paper bands. My trash is not as successful as the other but I'm proud!

Your comments please Smiley

This project has been on my wist since that first post.  I love your try at it.  Good to know how long it takes, though now I'm not sure if I'll ever do it. Roll Eyes

I love these. I did something similar to this awhile ago but instead of making bands I just layered strips. It must have taken you FOREVER to work on this, not to mention loads of glue! The end result is awesome though Smiley

What is this made of?  Is it woven strips of paper?  How did you make this?  The pictures aren't clickable so I can't enlarge it to get a better view of it.

I think it looks great, just like the example. But I'd love to hear more about what and how as well Smiley

Thank you all I appreciate all your comments Cheesy

: actually I don't think you know how long I spent to make it!I worked in it june and july. I used two glue pots and hundreds of posters.

mamarose22 : I used glue, paper and nothing more than paper. I made rolls of paper myself, it's easy to do but boring ( I think I made more than 150 rolls). But the hardiest was to fabric the basis of the garbage..I have cut thousands of strips of paper and I started to roll around each other. It really took a lot of time but the result is perfect

If you want more explications  just ask, I'll do my best to answer you Smiley

I'm the wrong person to ask how to post pictures.  My daughter does that for me.  I do know however, that when she's ready to post a picture of a swap, she goes to paint.net and changes the top number to 500.

Nifty! What kind of glue did you use? And did you recycle magazines?

ScotSkipper402 : yes, I recycle a LOT of old magazines. I used wood glue, the result with it was good.
