I would love to learn how to spin but I don't have a clue. There is not a foot pedal but it seems to be in good shape. Any suggestions on how to learn to spin? DVD's or internet lessons perhaps? Thanks all...

Joy of HandSpinning has some fabulous videos.  As well, I found (much to my surprise) that my local library had an ancient but helpful VHS.  Perhaps yours does to, or the librarian can get one for you?

To put a treadle on your wheel, you might want to look up some of the modern wheel websites.  Most (I know Ashford does) have assembly pdf's that will allow you to figure out how to put a treadle on your wheel.

There is a Yahoo group (antique wheels or antique spinning wheels) where you might be able to get further help with your wheel.

Congrats!
