I made these cards and envelopes for my parents and grandparents for Christmas.  The letters on the front are from magazines and the tiny green stars are brads that I used to hold on the star cut out to wrap the string around.  You open the card by unwinding the string from around the star and brad.  The green envelope is made from construction paper and the red envelope had red construction paper "lining" and the outside is a Revlon ad from a magazine as well.  I am pretty happy with how they turned out.  Hope you all like them!

Comments and criticism are greatly appreciated!!!  Grin

That's really clever! very inovative and unique way to make christams cards special with a fastening like that.  The envelope looks so sturdy and neat.  I'm impressed!

What GREAT cards.  I'll have to try that closure on some of my cards.  I really like the recycled envelopes, too.
