No idea why these pictures are so huge, I made them smaller on photobucket.

I made an embroidery for both sets of my grandparents, and my fiance's grandparents. Next time though I wont get cheap dollar tree frames because it wrinkles them to much....but ah lessen learned.

This is a cherry blossom branch for my Dad's parents, they go to Japan almost every year so I thought they might like this Smiley

My fiance's grandparents are very into birds and birdwatching. This picture isin't as good because I had to take it fast since we needed to leave for Christmas and it still wasen't wrapped lol.

This was for my Mom's parents...they love wine and it says "I love cooking with wine, sometimes I even put it in the food"

It was a lot of fun, I learned from my mistakes....and now I just need to figure out how to make it smooth when I put it in the frames  Grin

Nice job.  I like the wine one best.  I also like the fabric you used, it is so pretty.

About the wrinkling: my mom uses a sticky-back matboard made for mounting fabric when she frames her needlework.  She buys it at Joann's.  Hope this helps.

Nice job! It's good to be able to learn for next time, but also to remember that the person receiving the gift won't even notice the things you do, because you're closer to it as its creator! Smiley I like the cherry blossom. My sister and her husband regularly visit Japan and would really like this.

Muddlepud is so right.  The crafter sees all the flaws but the recipient sees the beauty.  It is such a blessing to receive a handmade gift.  Your family is lucky to have you!

Thanks everyone!

The matboard is a good idea, I was just going to use tape...but I think that would look more professional  Grin
