i made his as a gift for my friend

 i had to let her open it early cos we were in town in Gap together and she was going to buy a diagonal striped scarf in there! lol! i said Erm... I have a gift for u!! hahahah! She loves it! yay! I made it holding 2 strands together of each colour and used size 10.5 needles. The yarn is Lionbrand Organic cotton and the pattern can be found here...

And the difference between your friend's present and the fig and plum pattern is ... how did you manage the green stripe around the edge?

Is that a crocheted edge, added on after you had finished knitting?
