I love it, as I generally love all the stuff you post! Was the gold leaf a bitch to work with? I think I might experiment with this myself, it just looks SO cool and guy-worthy (sometimes it's hard to make something for the manly type, I've found!). Glad you were able to get out of the house to deliver it! Grin

AH IT IS SO AWESOME!!!!!

Way to go. There is no way that anyone would not like it. I hope that someday someone loves me enough to make me a gold foil pimp cup.

Thank you!  I had so much fun making it, I may have to make more things like it!  Not necessarily, pimp chalices, but the way that faux gold leaf just glows like movie special effects is very tempting.

Aw, wow.  Thank you!  I've used metal leaf before and it can be a bitch, but not as bad as you might imagine if you have a patience, a brush to pick it up with and the expectation that it's not going to lay down in a nice, perfect square like you see on the pro stuff.  (ahem)  It helps that it's not real gold, so it's not SOOOOO expensive that any waste is crushing.  I have quite a bit of copper leaf that I want to use on some kind of glass for myself.

It is so much harder to craft for men!  And I've made mine enough boxer shorts to last him a long, long time so I was glad I was able to execute this idea!  He's really cool about being crafted for, so hopefully another idea will come to me in time for his May birthday. Wink

"This is AWESOME!"  Yey!  Although it was promptly and accidentally renamed the "Chimp Palace".  Ha!

And it drinks just fine, red wine and all.  A little challenging to pour into because you can't see from the outside AT ALL, but worst case scenario you get too much tasty beverage, right?

Aw, shucks!  This one took much, much longer since it was the first AND I had to cut and paste and fiddle around in photoshop to make that fake crest.
