Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share some new bags I did for my nieces...  these will be their Christmas present.  I just hope they like them  Roll Eyes.  For the fabric I used cotton/polyester, the flowers and birdie are made out of felt and adhered them to the bag using the applique stitch from my sewing machine.  Here's how they look:

I also added some decor using a leaf stitch that my sewing machine has.  Here's the second one:

And here's how they look on the inside:

That stitched rectangle is a magnet that I stitched to the lining...  ok, I made a small pocket first, put the magnet inside, and then stitched the pocket to the wrong side of the lining...  I had to do this since I ran out of magnetic snaps  Undecided  And guess what?  They work perfectly!  Shocked Grin

And finally, some matching make-up/girly stuff purses:

Thanks for looking!

Great idea on the magnets!  They are both adorable, they'll probably fight over who gets which one.

I'm in love with that little bird. So cute! Your magnet closure solution is genius and perfect for a bag little girls will be handling often. I'm sure they'll adore them!

I just posted a bag that I forgot the magnetic closure on....I was thinking how I hate to use velcro instead, then I remembered your magnet solution.  I can just sew on little pockets of fabric with the magnet inside, awesome!  Thanks again for the idea.

I'm not happy, I'm cheerful. There's a difference.
