I found the bagsket pattern about a week ago, and they make just about perfect christmas presents for the boyfriend's mom and sister-in-law.  (plus, I had to make one for myself)

this was a fun pattern to sew, and I foudn some lovely chocolate browns to work with for these.  although, the inside "bag" tended to be too loose in all of them--I recommend shortening the height of these, and making them a little narrower as well, to fit more cleanly inside the basket part.

Here they all are:

One for me (I just loooooove the butterfly fabric!):

One for his mom ([sigh], yes, it's sideways):

And one for the sister-in-law (also sideways  Undecided ):

thanks for looking!  Smiley

edit: here's the link for the pattern: http://foofanagle.wordpress.com/2007/06/26/bagsket-tutorial/

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

Those look really neat!  I bet they're going to be a hit!  About how big are they?

They're about 11inches in diameter, about 12 inches high.  Fairly big.  The pattern gives instructions for both 9inch and 12inch sizes.
