Cheapest/Easiest Last min gift ever-Chocolate Toffee Pieces; "Christmas Crack!"

A convection oven will not work  and white chocolate chips have too much waxy stuff added to keep the shape even after baking...I would use the white chocolate melting disks (if you can find them) ...

I love this recipe and have included it in every gift I make during the holidays!  Oh yummy!

Glad to see this again this time of year...it is a keeper!

third year making this stuff and is still the best gift around. This year I toasted some walnuts with a little salt and a little oil in a pan, crushed them up and topped the crack with them..plus a little salt.....NOM!

I have discovered it is the best 'husband gift' ie a gift for my girlfriends hubbys, when I am taking gifts for her and for the kids, it is bad not to have even a little thing on hand for him...christmas crack fits the bill..

might have to go and just sample the latest batch...quality control you understand

I made this for my new boss in our holiday gift exchange...he came in today and said it was the best gift ever!

He wants the recipe for his wife and daughter...

I want to try the additional salt as it must be just that much more delicious...

I added toasted walnuts to my boss's batch and a bit more chocolate than the recipe called for...

Hello new on here but have been on a few times as a guest. I followed the recipe on the first post after trying this 'Crack' in Canada at Christmas.
As I am in the U.K I used TUC crackers......perfe ct so much so that I have had to lock the end result in the car to stop it being demolished too soon  by the family!

Looking forward to trying more recipes in the future!

btw for people in the UK, Doriano crackers (asda, tesco and I think sainsbury's do them) are the closest thing I have found to saltines.
