My cousin and his wife are having a baby boy!  They live in Texas, the rest of his family live in Oregon. They're supposed to be here for Christmas (we're having some serious weather here, so they may not be her after all). His mom suggested a surprise baby shower as part of the family xmas gathering so I made this.

That is sooooo cute! I want to wear it! I'm in Seattle and we're havin' the same serious weather. The city has been shut down for days. I hope your cousin makes it safely!

Thank you!  I hope they like it.  I don't know their taste well, so I hope simple and graphic will work for them.  I have about 20" of snow on the hood of my truck!  It's knee deep on one side of my house!  I'm in Portland!  I guess that the main roads are okay, but my own street is solid white and I'm not convinced my 4-wheel drive is working.  Let me tell you, my crazy is being stirred.

That's cute.  Was the trike on fabric you had, or is it an image transfer or a drawing?

Thank you.  It's cotton fabric that you can put through your ink jet printer. I got the trike from the weekly Dover sampler.  If you go to their site you can sigh up for a weekly email that will link to free samples of clip art to download.  I also have several of their books.

Thanks!  I acually have another tricycle to up on another onesie for another baby.  That one is for a girl which will be easier for me to embellish a bit.

I think it would be a threesie if it were for conjoined triplets.

anyway, did you use pinking shears for the edging? It's so perfect!

I think you're right!

Yup, pinking shears... I'm kind of anal about matching up the pattern when I start a new cut... it's probably annoying to watch.  Undecided

A threesie.  Cheesy You always do fun things with appliques and transfers. Hope your cousin is able to make it up. I'm in Tacoma, so also sharing that crazy weather. Waiting on my brother to come up from the Oregon coast...
