My good friend lives in a duplex next to a family with a teenager learning to play the tuba.  Tubas are LOUD and he's not catching on very quickly.  It's driving her crazy.  She's told his parents and him that she works from home, but after a few days of keeping the agreed upon schedule he'll start practicing during work hours, early on weekend mornings, etc.

I made this "tooba voodoo doll" for her so she can get some frustration out of her system when it gets too much and customized pins with shrink plastic of goofy things she might want to attack his tuba with (or him) a fork, poison, and a tennis racket.

Another angle of the pins, this time "in action".

Fantastic concept I'm now completely envious of! So simple and so effective! Has the recipient embraced the awesomeness of this present yet?

P.S. I voted this rocks!

She hasn't received it yet!  Probably not until sometime after Christmas or even the New Year.  I've made a TON of voodoo "dolls", but only animals (Varmint Voodoo) so this one was a fun change of pace.  Thanks for the rockin!  Here's hopin that kid starts to rock it, too!

Thanks! Hopefully she'll laugh through her tears, too.

Poor kid.  It's not his fault his parents don't realize that duplex (or any shared-wall) dwellers shouldn't learn tuba and aren't courteous role models and that he sucks at it.  Still.
