My wedding was in 2007, but I was completely inspired by the postings, I decided to post also.  We did not do nearly as much as DIY as most of the weddings on here.  We did do a fair bit though.  Our wedding was completely done by family friends or friends of friends, not necessarily me.

My best friend's sister did my hair. My older sister did my make up.  I made the veil.

Centerpieces were completed by me and a little last minute help from my younger sister.

Alter table.  The flowers were done by the florist.  The candle holders I added finishing touches to bring the "theme" together.

Close up of the candles.

Sorry for the horrible picture. I had to crop one alot to get this.  I lined the basket with white satin & attached small blue berry-like stems to the outside of the basket.

Reception Tables, outside.  The bamboo was cut by my dad to allow the lights to be placed into the bamboo sticks.  On each table, several business cards are placed telling our guest that we donated money to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in Memory & Honor of three influential people in my husband & I's lives.  The card were designed by my husband.

Us cutting the cake.  My bolero was made by my mother in law.  The cake was made by one of my mother in law's best friend. Cake Topper made by my father in law.

I hope you guys enjoy!

It's a lace jacket over a simple dress. Nothing special, well to me it was. Wink  It basically was a sheer material with lace edging.  It was too hard to sew lace on lace, or at least that is what I was told.  It was also hard to find lace to match other lace. Smiley
