Sooooo... I can't afford to buy any fabric... but I NEEEEEED a new Christmas outfit!!! Time to cut up some old curtains!!! Imagine shiny black leggings, and short booties!! WHOOO WEEEEE!!! I'm EXCITED!!!

Onward with the pictures!!

I'll wear it like this with the belt:

But here it is anyway without the belt:

And a side view (I made the back of the bodice intentionally longer, and the zipper is on the other side):

And lastly, a close up of the bust edging and embroidery:

YAY!! Smiley

Update 01/02/09 ACTION SHOT:

(BTW, I couldn't find my good strapless so it looks kinda wierd in the boobage area on this picture... BUT, with the correct bra it fits properly!)

He he he he, I just said to my daughter a week ago while getting into the car and looking at the neighbour's window-"Those curtains would make cool tote bags!"

So, let's hope no one at the party bought the same curtains as you did or they will show up with something similar next year! lol

Great job and very cute!

Oh! I really like this. I'd love a whole dress made out if that fabric. It's so cute. What a great idea.
