This one only took me 7 months, and was 3 months late! Oops! It was made for my hubby's boss' wife who gave birth at the end of August.

Several of the design elements were taken from an artist named Paul Brent, and the little boy is from Gyo Fujikawa’s book “Oh What a Busy Day”, a treasured favorite in my family. It's all been hand appliqued and embroidered. There is also  pocket at the bottom to hold the 5 starfish stuffies. The flags are the proper international signal flags which spell out the baby's first name.

All wrapped up:

the stuffies my hubby made at the last minute:

The label:

Oh boy there are still so many more pictures that show close ups of all the quilting details. You can see more on my blog if you're interested!

That is so AMAZING!   Shocked  It's beautiful and I love how much attention to detail there is from the name with the flags to the worm on the hook.  I am also hitting This Rocks!

This is gorgeous.  I love the amount of detail on it, like the smile on the octopus and the "once upon a time".  Someday I want to make quilts this detailed.  I'm sure the whole family will love it.

WOW! This is incredible! (and I"m still working a quilt for my "baby" niece, who is 3! At least her big girl room still matches the quilt colors)
