Can anyone tell me where is a good place to look for lacy baby blanket patterns?

Lots of places have them - I find a lot in
Lion Brand also has some - had one in their freebies, in the newsletter yesterday

Also, what I find is fun to do is to look at a stitch dictionary (Barbara Walker is my favorite) and find a lovely stitch and use that for the blanket, putting a five-stitch garter border on each side and five rows of garter on top and bottom.

I think the stitch dictionary idea is great. It'll give you a chance to try something new that would otherwise be difficult to incorporate into another project without attempting it Cheesy

I think the stitch dictionary idea is great.

If you don't have a stitch dictionary Knittingfool is a great online one. On the left side you'll see the alphabet, just click on a letter and see all the stitches that start with that letter. There is a subscription fee for the full dictionary but with over 400 free ones you should be able to find something you like.
