I'm the crazy dog lady, I suppose, that doesn't just get gifts for friends and relatives, but also gifts for their dogs... so this time I made dog stockings to stuff the gifts into. I had a bunch of black and white plush scraps lying around, so that's the main part of it, the foot pads are scraps of black alpine fleece and the back is also fleece. I rarely use my embroidery machine so I decided this would be a good way to personalize, I just embroidered the names onto thick gabardine and hand-sewed these on (actually the whole thing is hand sewn, except the embroidery).

Amy is my dog and Erin is my cousin's dog, both happen to be black and white so that worked well with the scraps I had. I added a loop of metallic gold ribbon for hanging. I'll put some sort of dog treats or bones in here I suppose, kind of narrow but I'm sure rawhide or something would work well as a stuffer. I saw something similar at a store once but didn't buy the pattern (it being fairly non-complicated, anyway) and figured I'd make a few of these, just drew up a pattern on some paper and sewed it together. Now my mom wants me to make one for her boss, too (well, his dog). =0P

This is is coolest!  Im hitting the 'this rocks' button on this definantly!  My dog just has a regular stocking with paw prints on it.  So, I must make one like yours for my dog!  And, of course I need to make one for my sisters dogs and one for my brothers and one for my parents dog.  Squeeeee!  Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks. ^_^ Today I made one for my mom's boss and used fur for the back too, I thought it might be too bulky that way but it's okay.

Again, not very complex but I did scan pattern here:

Now I just need to get to the store before the holidays to get more dog treats/small toys to stuff these with.
