This is my first attempt at anything other than coordinated cupcakes (okay, other than a cute teddy bear cake for a friend).  I had only made fondant once before.  My sister wanted me to make her wedding cake (in addition to flower girl dresses, invitations, and matron of honor--which, who knew?--involved a toast and eating in front of everyone!!!).  I made White Almond Sour Cream Wedding Cake and went with something loosely based off this cake.  It had to drive 1.5 hours to it's destination and had to feed 200 people!!  We assembled it on site but forgot our camera, hence the single picture.  Bride is a bit slow at getting me a real pic of it!

I see the "Tim Burton" influence. Good job! It's way cooler than my wedding cake was!

Thanks!   Smiley

I know it is awfully wonky but someone (hubs) decided to grab the top layer by the CAKE and not the PLATE it was on and my fondant skills are definitely lacking.  Thankfully it was very dark in the serving room, so I think it was hard to see defects at the time!
