Just a few paper projects for fun!

First is an origami bowl filled with ornaments.
This is my table decoration.  It's made from 12" heavyweight scrapbook paper.

Some smaller bowls made out of origami paper.

Kusudama and New Year Ornament.  Kusudama made from 3" origami paper.
New Year Ornament made from Chinese New Year money envelopes.

Kusudama inspired by this post and tute.

Origami Christmas Tree with mini roses.

Mini roses are made from 2" square.  Nickel for scale.

Origami Lotus Blossom

The lotus and the New Year Ornament are from the origami kit and book Chinese Origami by David Mitchell.

As you can see the lotus is sitting on the book.   Smiley

Sorry about the camera phone pics.

Hope you enjoy!

These are so beautiful. Could you tell me where you found the diagram for the bowl in the upper right hand corner of your picture of the three bowls, the one with the points?
Thank You

ninidances,

That dish (or plate) is from Tomoko Fuse's Fabulous Origami Boxes.

http://www.amazon.com/Fabulous-Origami-Boxes-Tomoko-Fuse/dp/0870409786/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1229900469&sr=8-1

Its made from 2 pieces - necessary for shape.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the kind comments. Smiley

The lotus is probably about 6 inches in diameter and maybe 5 inches high.
(It sits on my desk at work)

I'm planning on making one out of dollar billes for the white elephant exchange our family has for Christmas.
Gift cards can be so boring, but $$ is always a good idea, and what better way to present it?
