I love the Emmeline pattern from Sew Liberated so much. All the women in my life will own one within the next year. I love how it fits almost anyone and it is reversible. I started with Christmas presents this year. I made one for my SIL and one for my mom.

The one for my SIL matches the place mats that I also made her for Christmas:

The one I made for my mom matches her kitchen exactly. When she moved out onto her own the first thing she did was paint her kitchen yellow. She has always wanted a yellow kitchen, but my dad only liked white walls. To go with her yellow kitchen she has gradually collected this fruit pattern at garage sales only. She doesn't believe in spending full price for anything. When I found the exact pattern at a quilting store nearby I had to get it, the only problem was she was with me. I told her it was for my SIL who also liked fruit patterns, and she fell for it. It doesn't fall into her don't pay full price philosophy, but she technically didn't spend any money on it, I did.

I love love love this apron! I'll definitely be getting that book sometime soon. I like that the aprons match the recipients' kitchens. I leave my apron hanging up on a hook all the time. Thank you so much for sharing. You did an excellent job!
