These dogs are beautiful.  I have tried my hand at only wool so far with needle felting.  My husband was thinking of trying some dog hair with his spinning.

Can you tell me approximately how much dog hair you used with the wool?  Like 50/50 or such?

I also want to try using some on my angora bunny's fur and have bought those small cards to mix the fibers.

Thank you in advance.

Always been crafty mom of 5, though now I realize crafting is cathartic as well as fun, and I am good at a lot of things!

It depends on the condition and quality of the fur.
I think I used about 75/25 wool to poodle fur approximately. I used Airedale fur before and that was more 90/10 wool to fur. I embellished the finished sculptures with more fur afterwards.
Its just a question of experimentation and trial and error I'm afraid!

Good luck!  Smiley

Very neat! I've saw a project on making felt out of cat fur in one of my craft books (Starving Artists Survival Guide? Something like that) and have had the idea in my head for a while - though I think they were intending felt sheets? Needle felting would be more logical I think!

I may have to locate that book at my library for further inspiration...

And all the work on your site looks fabulous! My sister told me that one of my Christmas presents is ordered from the internet and "based on my cat", so now I'm hoping it's one of your animals... (but what are the odds of that?)
