How can something look delicious but also make me clutch my heart in fear at the same time. Why in the world would this be on a runner's forum? I can't even understand that. Must figure out a way to reason to myself eating something that will ultimately lead to me having a heart attack in the next few years.. Hmmm..

No, no.
Not good enough.
The roll needs to be deep-fried with a crunchy coating before you slice it up, OBVIOUSLY.
Geez people. Know you nothing of American food?

Find some way to put a krispy-kreme in there somehow also.
hahahaha and some mayo!!

At first glance, I thought the recipie was going to be this one

http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/

Though both are similar, I thought I'd share this one, which looks almost even more heart stopping-er. O_o

ugh... i don't think I will be showing my DH that one.  He would want me to make it for him and I don't think that I could stomach that one at all.  My heart wanted to stop though just by looking.  And just thinking about making that into a sandwich???  Shocked

Reminds me of something my mom used to make that we all loved.  They were called Cheese & Bacon Dreams and included the best of the worst -- highly processed hamburger buns, strips of bacon cut in half and criss-crossed on each bun half, topped with American cheese.  It was all cooked in the oven or broiler - bacon pre-cooked first I think.
