In my 3D Design class we had to choose a word and turn it into a sculpture, making at least one part from a plaster mold we made ourselves. I found a large plastic lawn dog at Wal-Mart and decided to make a WatchDog.

I divided the dog into 9 sections with a marker and covered all but one section with clay. I then built up walls around that section and poured it with plaster. Once that section was dry I uncovered another section and repeated the process. Here are some pics of one of the last sections being filled in with plaster.

Once the entire dog was covered in plaster I broke apart the pieces, strapped them back together and filled it with stronger plaster. When that dried I broke it out of the mold, sanded and spray painted it and glued on watch faces for eyes.
