I've seen great mosaics made from paint samples before and figured my BFF should get my first work of art (all based on how well it turned out  Wink) for Christmas. She LOVES elephants and has everything elephant so I figured this is something very unique that no one can buy her.

I must confess even for a picture this size (11x14) it is painstakingly tedious. It takes FOREVER! I thought about making more, but I might wait a bit until the memory of this one fades a little. I just used an acid free glue stick and stuck the pieces to cardstock. I thought about trying and filling the cracks in the elephant with glitter... sort of like grout, but I think I like it the way it is. Feedback please!!! I need to decide if I should make more! Lol.

Excuse the kitty head she just couldn't resist exploring the new thing I put on the couch.

It's shape is rather aerodynamic, isn't it. I can feel it. This deskset wants to fly... Todd... the world's first unmanned flying deskset.

What an cute gift! How precise did you cut those shapes? They look so perfect. Make more! Make more! Of course, take a break for now since this project gave you a headache. Grin

Oh that's very nice, very neatly put together.

I used to hoard paint samples, but had to toss them in the recycle bin when I moved. Now I wish I still had them!
