I have been moving this stone with me for years.  I had it in my crystal collection just waiting for me to bead wrap it.  I have no clue what the stone is, if anyone can help I would love it...

I am now running out of stuff to bead wrap, I need to find a place to buy my raw crystals.  If anyone has a source I would love to hear about it...

I never would have thought to do a peyote "holder" for the stone, instead of drill a hole. Great Idea. Don't know the stone, sorry.

It looks like a piece of abalone shell.

I think you may be right about the shell.  I was looking at it after reading this and the back does have the look of shell.

I will have to do some more digging online now...
