I made this in seed stitch using one ball of Jo-Ann's Sensations Licorice Yarn. I absolutely love the colors!

I used three green button for the closure.

Close up of the stitch.

The 'eek her face is one color' shot.  Wink

It was very easy to knit and super pretty to look at. I think I'm dubbing it the Candy Hicky Hider. It just looks like something you'd wear specifically to hide a hicky!

Wow!  i love it!  The colors are absolutley stupifying. That's a great 1-skein project.  Do you have a pattern, or did you just wing it?  either way, what are the finished measurements?--i think i want to make one too!!!

It is a great on ball project! Licorice only has 87 yards of yarn.

I mostly winged it. But here is what I did:

Cast On 20 stitches on size 13 straight needles.
Seed Stitch (K1 P1 one row, and P1, K1 opposite row) for 21 inches or desired length.
For the buttonholes stay in seed stich pattern for the first four stitches the do this after every fouth stitch: YO, K2TOG. You will have 3 YO, aka buttonholes.
Knit 3 more rows in seed stitch then bind off.
Add super cute buttons and ta-dah!

The measurements are 22" x 6 1/2"

That's the first time I write out a pattern, let me know if you are confused!
