Half Birthday Cake Face Girl

I wanted to make something really special to commemorate my daughter's first christmas. So I made special ornaments to give as gifts with her face on them. I used iron on transfer paper to put her face on fabric and then began frankensteining felt ornaments to add them too. Here is how the first collection went.
The whole lot before I wrapped them...

The one I'm sending to her paternal grandmother...

The one I'm giving my sister

and the one I'm keeping thank you very much!

Happy Crafting

What a great idea!  I love so much that you are sentimental enough to commemorate your daughter's first Christmas and yet still considered part of your project "frankensteining" her onto felt ornaments!  Grin

I have had a lot of fun with them and have four more to finish. I will post as soon as I get them done. I think they get moe elaborate as time gose by. I hope this spurns some crafting in others!

What do any of you think about making her a dolly with her own face? Or is that too wierd?

Grandysdaughter, yours is under the tree. (well, we took the tree down, but it is still sitting on the carpet under where the tree was) Waiting for you to come and collect it and the other minor goodies that come with the holidays... come visit soon. Ari wants to show you how much bigger her feet are now that she is one whole year old!
