I have been playing with used denim for a while now.  I do love the "bootie bags". but I also like other styles.

My newest is a messenger bag style.

I am calling it Cherry Peace....

and this is my first adjustable strap....

I have a "bootie bag" I am doing for a friend, then I think I am going to play with this pattern a bit more.

Tutorial added at my blog...

Really neat!! I definately need to reuse some of the extra denim lying around the house. Great idea; thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the comments...I am working on a few more styles I will share them all as I get done.  But I have a ton of sewing sitting around me...

A tutorial, I never thought of it.  I will work on it while doing my next strap.  I will post a link when I am all done.

Awesome job.  I love messenger style bags, and I LOVE using used jeans to make new things.

For the previous poster who asked how to do the adjustable strap, I learned by looking at and examining the way the straps on my backpack/duffel bags were done.

Wow, this purse is so cute!  I couldn't figure out how to do an adjustable strap either and would really appreciate seeing a tutorial.  Great job on the purse!
