My posse had a secret santa swap, and I had my friend Christine. She's a big fan of everyone's favorite chanson-infused indie rock band Beirut, so I decided to embroider her a tote bag with Zach on it.

First, the reference photo:

I used carbon paper and traced the picture onto the tote.

This is the first project I've done of a person, so I decided to keep the face super simple.

The French horn was really difficult!

If you aren't familiar with Beirut, definitely check the music out. I really enjoy it.

I'm a big fan of Beirut, though sometimes I feel like the only person in my state who has ever heard of them  Wink

This is so cute, I love the outline and the colors you've chosen. Your secret santa presentee is certainly lucky to have had you pick her name Smiley

There's got to be something wrong with anybody who dislikes Beirut.
Lovely job on the bag! It's so simple and yet so cool. I bet she's going to adore it. I know I would. Smiley
