I'm in college (very close to becoming an official teacher  Cheesy) and today I passed in my final paper, so I'm officially on my winter break!!!!!

On an unrelated note, today I asked "Santa" for a cricut personal cutter.  And I noticed that there are some really cute teacher-oriented cartridges.  Very exciting!

Congrats!
Those Cricut cutters look so wonderful!  They do have tons of cool stuff for the classroom.  I want one but they are so expensive!!  In my school we use Ellison cutters, which are sort of on the same idea but just less fancy.

I'm in a school with the most amazing selection of Elison die-cuts you could imagine.  That's wonderful, except for the fact that it makes me feel guilty for wanting a Cricut.  My hubby had actually asked me if that's what I wanted for Christmas, then I thought of all those die-cuts at school and had to say no (I'm just too too practical for my own good some time).

I have never actually heard of Ellison or Cricut and went off and googled them just now.  Wow!  The possibilities for the classroom (not to mention home crafting glory...) are absolutely endless!  I would love to see a pic of ways in which people have used these to enhance their teaching. Hmmm, I might try to track down something similar in Oz.

The die-cuts are wonderful for making file folder games, decorating and personalizing bulletin boards, making matching games, making number lines and calendar pieces to suit each unit or season, making word wall pieces and so much more (I could go on forever)! Once you start using them, you realize you can't possibly do without them.

I've decided that I'm going to have to skip this one, unfortunately. Sad I don't want to overload myself. I'm definitely keeping an eye on the gallery, though. I'm sure it'll be an awesome swap. If it goes well, perhaps there'll be a round two... Wink

I've just signed up! I'm glad that this swap is not too heavy, and a little bit more time to craft!
