My husband has been asking/begging for a Voyager jumpsuit for the past year and after finding a pattern created by Bad Wolf Costumes I decided to give it a go.

The jumpsuit is made of a poly gabardine (because my budget doesn't support wool gabardine) and the red yoke is poly poplin because that's all my local area had available in this color.

Pattern Link: badwolfcostumes.com
These two are serious costumers and the tutorial is 198 pages long but if you want a great pattern this is the one to get. They have serious research behind the design and construction for the hard core costumers out there.

Close up of the side. I hated working on the sleeves and getting the line up on the triangle point to not bunch up.

Thanks for looking!

You have a lucky husband!

Really like how you did the elastic at the waist. You did the two color shoulder area very nicely.

I find it interesting that wool gabardine was the suggested fabric...I think your poly was a better choice to make it washable...for some reason, I never really gave the fabric used in the actual costumes much thought...

Hope he gets a lot of use from his Star Trek costume!

Nicely done! The details turned out really well, the shoulder point, yoke, back vents, and little shoe slits.

He must be excited to go play with the other kids now!  Wink
