What do you do when you don't have enough of any one yarn to make a hat, but you do have 2 coordinating colors?  Why, you make a 2 tone hat.  This is Knitty's coronet.  The cable, and about 1.5" of the hat (that's hidden by the cable) are done in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in color 202 (left over from Tempting) and the rest of the hat is in Cascade Lana D'Oro in Stonehenge left over from another sweater.

That looks great! And its a good idea for getting rid of those last bits of yarn.

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

Thanks!  My glasses are two tone, too!  They're blue with a layer of yellow plastic behind the blue.  I love them.  I've had them for like 4 years now, and I've never found another pair I like as well.

I really like the hat! I think it looks much better in two colors.
I have to try that myself...

melidomi-that is a gorgeous hat (and i like the rosy cheeks too!)

Princess Jazz-What's really funny is that every time i see a post from you i get confused and think i posted something in a drunken stupor because my name is jazz too. plus you have the same taste as me. weird.....
