I made this for a baby shower I am going to this Sunday.  I used Knit Picks Merino Style.  Probably not too nice since it needs to be hand washed!  This yarn is so, so soft.  I really love it.  I did buy enough yarn to made another one for my 4 year old daughter, but to be honest,  I would have to fight her to make her wear it!  And it wouldn't be the first time I knit something for her and then she refused to wear it.  I knit the Spring Coat from MinnowKnits, Too for her.  I labored over it for 2 months.  As soon as I put it on her she started crying, so off it came, never to be worn again!
It did take me longer than I thought to complete this.  All of those petals!  But it is very easy and the pattern is easy to follow, with lots of pictures.  All that garter stitch did not bother me,  I guess because I made the smallest size (2-6 months).

That is super cute. And I love the pattern website. You just performed a great advertising service for them!

Oh goodness!  This is such a sweet knit!  The pattern does look fairly simple, so I think I'm going to give it a shot.  Thank you for sharing this little gem!

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

Wow, kathyruth, thanks for putting that picture up!

It's always a thrill to actually see something I have designed made by another person. And you did such a great job! Looks just like the garment I knitted.

Thanks to all for the comments. Designing fantasy outfits for children is a real passion of mine. I'm doing some patterns for more "grown-up" girls at the moment (read: adults), but there'll be more for the kids down the line.

Regards,

Rachelle
