Got two Christmas gifts done. I bought 2 fleece blankets and embroidered names on them. I've never embroidered on fleece before and sadly it shows Sad.

I used a hoop with both. I traced the first name on tissue paper and basted it on the fleece.

The second one I traced with running stitches. I had hoped the result would be better but it actually was worse.

Embroidering through the paper was a bother and getting the running stitches out wasn't fun either. Next time I'm going to buy a transfer pen and some stabiliser.

Thank you midnight and metamyelocyte (I'm stuck at wikipedia because of your nick Cheesy) for your comments.

Hopefully the four year old recipients won't be too critical when they get the blankets.

I think you did a good job. I love the pink against the red.
