Not sure if this belonged in knitting or quilting... Smiley i decided to post it here because it's one of the first quilting projects I've completed. I made this for my mother-in-law-to-be for x-mas this year - she just gave us a beautiful knit afghan that she's been working on for ages. kind of a thank you present, too, i guess. Smiley

i took the pattern from Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts and made it a little taller and changed the dimensions on the pocket. now i need to make one for myself!

I love that you angled the pocket!  What a great idea!!!  I'm sure your MIL will adore it.  People who craft themselves can be counted on to appreciate crafts.   Cheesy

I love the fabric you chose.  I didn't know I needed one of these until I saw your post!  Great work!

The angled pocket is genius! It adds so much to it.

Pretty and professional, nice job. I want to make on of my own now Smiley I saw that book in a store once, but I was drowning in craft books at the time so I restrained myself.

i love it, it's a great book. i've made a few things from it including the quilted coasters, a couple of crochet hook rolls, and now this knitting roll. i want to make the rainbow circle quilt, it's so beautiful, but i'm nervous as i haven't made a quilt before!

Dude if I can do it, you can! Keep it simple and expect it to take a while, and you'll do great!
